Overview
Mahfel Huq & Co. is one of the oldest and largest accounting firms in Bangladesh, and has been in the profession since 1974. I designed and built their website at mahfelhuq.com so that clients, job seekers and partners can quickly see who the firm is, what it does and how to reach it.
The home page opens with the firm’s story and a clear invitation to explore its services. Below that come the latest news, the six service areas, a careers section and quick links. The Who we are section covers the firm’s history, leadership, and mission and vision. What we do has a page for every service: Audit and Assurance, Corporate and Legal Affairs, Corporate Finance, Outsourcing, Risk Consulting, and Tax Consultancy.
Main features:
- Menus grouped under Who we are and What we do, so visitors can reach any page in one or two clicks
- A dedicated page for each of the six service areas
- A news section with articles on topics such as income tax rates and growing an SME business
- A careers page for people who want to join the firm
- A contact page with a link to the office location
- Links to the alumni site, important resources, and the firm’s Facebook and LinkedIn pages
- A footer that explains the firm’s association with AGN International
The Challenge
A firm with more than fifty years of history has a lot to say: its story, its leaders, six service lines, job openings and regular news. The task was to give all of this a calm, professional structure so that a visitor does not have to search for what they need.
Organizing six services. Instead of one long page, I grouped the services under What we do with a dropdown menu, gave each service its own page, and repeated a short summary of every service on the home page.
Looking credible. People choose an accounting firm based on trust. I kept the design clean and the writing plain, so the firm’s experience and range of services stand out.
What I Did
- Planned the site structure and the main menu: Who we are, What we do, Career, News and Contact
- Designed and built the complete website in WordPress with Elementor
- Created the history, leadership, mission and vision pages, and one page for each service
- Set up the news section and the careers page
- Added on page SEO basics, including page titles, meta descriptions and social sharing tags
