I grew up in Sirajganj, a district in the northern part of Bangladesh. Before visiting Barisal, I had never experienced such a vast network of rivers, canals, and endless water all around. Seeing this landscape with my own eyes was something completely different from what I had imagined.
After wrapping up my work, I sat by the launch ghat for a while, watching the boats drift across the river and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Sometimes the best part of a trip isn’t the destination itself, but the chance to slow down, reflect, and simply appreciate where life has taken you.
Barisal gave me that moment, and I’m grateful for it. 🌊🚤
