Overview
The website introduces RDF to visitors in a simple and trustworthy way. The home page opens with a short story of the organization, then moves to the seven thematic areas, a call to partner with RDF, the latest news, and a donor list that includes well known partners such as Oxfam and WFP.
Each thematic area has its own page: Social Development Program, Human Rights and Social Justice, Human Resource Development, Livelihood Promotion, Health, Hygiene and Sanitation, Non Formal Education, and Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction. Along with these, the site has About Us, Our Team, Our Network, Training Program, News and Updates, Career, and Contact pages.
Main features: a clean NGO focused design, dedicated pages for every program area, a news section that supports Bangla content, a donor and partner showcase, a careers page, a contact page for collaboration, and a layout that works well on phones and slow connections.
The Challenge
RDF had a long history and a lot of valuable work, but very little of it was visible online. The goal was to build a website that donors, partners, and local communities could all understand quickly, and that RDF staff could update without needing a developer every time.
A few things had to be handled carefully.
Explaining many programs without confusion. RDF works across seven different areas. Instead of putting everything on one long page, I gave each area its own page with a short summary on the home page and a clear menu path, so visitors can find the program they care about in one or two clicks.
Building trust for donors and partners. An NGO website has to feel credible. I kept the design calm and professional, placed the founding story and mission near the top, and added a dedicated donor list section so visible partnerships support the organization’s reputation.
Bangla and English content together. News and program updates are written in Bangla for the local community, while the main pages are in English for partners and donors. The design and typography were set up so both languages look clean and readable.
Easy updates for the team. News, training information, and career openings change often, so these sections are simple to edit and publish from the dashboard.
Search visibility. Each page has a proper title, meta description, clean URL, and image alt text, so people searching for RDF or for NGOs in Comilla can find the site more easily.
What I Did
I planned the site structure, designed the pages, built the website, and prepared it for search engines. This included the menu and page hierarchy, the home page layout, the program pages, the news section, the careers and contact pages, mobile responsiveness, and basic performance and SEO setup.
